Welcome to UIM-Family Research Training Institute (UIM-FRTI).

UIM-FRTI is a division of UIM-Educational Trust a registered organization in the state of Karnataka, India, under registration number BKIV463/2016-2017 dated 31/01/2017, with its Registered Office at No. 32-34, Shalom Springdale Layout, Kyalasanahalli, near SAIACS, Bengaluru – 560077.

This Terms of Service Agreement (“Agreement”) between UIM-FRTI and visitors/users/registered members of the website (“You”) outlines the terms under which UIM-FRTI offers its services through its website. By accessing or using this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the terms and conditions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using the website.

Description of UIM-FRTI Services

UIM-FRTI is dedicated to equipping individuals as Family Life Educators and Counselors to address family life crises, prevalent in South Asian families. Our services include:

  • Offering university-recognized courses in family life education and counseling.

  • Providing access to educational resources, including articles, videos, and podcasts.

  • Facilitating event registrations for workshops and training sessions.

  • Accepting online donations to support our mission.

  • Enabling user interactions through comments and forums.

Payment Policy

  1. Payment Gateway: For course enrollments, event registrations, or donations made through our payment gateway, please note that the gateway is provided by a third party and is subject to their terms and conditions. UIM-FRTI is not liable for any issues arising from the use of third-party payment services.

  2. Utilization of contributions: Funds received are allocated to the specified purpose as described on our website and will be acknowledged appropriately.

  3. Tax Exemption: Currently, contributions or payments made to UIM-FRTI (UIM-EDUCATIONAL TRUST) are not eligible for tax exemption under Section 80G.

Refund Policy

Our refund policy is designed to ensure fairness to all students while maintaining the financial integrity of our institution. The following outlines the conditions under which refunds may be requested:

  1. Refund Requests: For any refund inquiries, please email to fees@uimfrti.org with valid reasons for refund and bank account details.

  2. Cancellation of event registration: Requests to cancel event registrations must be submitted at least 5 days before the event date to be eligible for a refund.

  3. Approval Process: Refund decisions are made by authorized representatives of UIM-FRTI and will be processed within 7 working days upon approval.

  4. Refund Method: Refunds are issued only to the original payment source and to the bank account mentioned in the refund request.

  5. Administrative Charges: A 10% administrative fee will be deducted from the refund amount paid towards cancellation of event registration or course fee.

  6. Minimum Refund Amount: Refunds are not provided for amounts less than Rs. 500/- if the participant is unable to attend the event.

  7. Event cancellation by organizers: If UIM-FRTI cancels an event, a full refund will be given to the registered participants.

  8. Late Requests: Refund requests sent after the event is over, will not be considered.

  9. Course Fee Related Refunds:

    1. Full Refund will be provided if the student withdraws one week before the start of the course. However, Rs. 1000/- will be deducted as administrative charges.

    2. Partial Refund: 60% of the fee paid will be given for refund requests which are made within one month (1 month) from the commencement of the course.

    3. No Refund will be given if the request is raised after one month (1 month) from the commencement of the course.

    4. Non-refundable Fees: Application fee is non-refundable.

    5. Refund for Canceled Courses: For course-related refunds, the request should be sent to dean.students@uimfrti.org along with the fee receipt received from the institution within the specified timeframe. Refunds will be processed within 7-10 working days after the request is approved.

    6. If UIM-FRTI cancels a course, students will receive a full refund or be offered an alternative course.

    7. Refund requests due to medical emergencies or unforeseen circumstances will be considered on a case-to-case basis.

Prohibited Activities

Users are expected to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. The use of UIM-FRTI services for any unlawful purpose or activities that may cause harm or offense to others, including UIM-FRTI, is strictly prohibited.
