What is MSc. in Counselling and Family Therapy?

MSc. in Counselling and Family Therapy course focuses on teaching and equipping the curative approach for building the basic unit of our society. The goal of MSc. CFT is to empower and nurture the institution of marriage and family and strengthen the synergy between these two most basic social units upon which our society is built.

This is achieved through lectures, workshops, and intensive counseling practicum under trained supervisors and mentors.

How to become a Certified Counselling and Family Therapist?

The Masters and Postgraduate Marriage and family counseling course requires a Bachelors degree from any recognized university in India or Abroad. Certified CFTs will receive regular supervision, mentoring, and support for their future endeavors as a counselor. They can also benefit from the network of counselors working within and outside the city for continued exposure and experience while on the job. According to the guidelines of ethical counseling, they will be expected to maintain a credible practice and remain accountable through professional supervision.

Where are Counselling and Family Therapists Employed?

Graduating Students can engage in counseling services for individual Counselees of all ages, such as children, late adolescents, and adults and older adults facing personal stress, Emotional issues, Marital, Parenting or Family difficulties.

They can work with groups to assist them in finding solutions to many of these same problems, as well as to improve the personal and interpersonal functioning of group members.

They can facilitate Individual/ Couple/ Family as well as group sessions in Church settings.

They can also consult with organizations and workgroups to help employees deal with work-related stress as well as personal issues which will help them enhance effectiveness.
